Our Passion for the Mediterranean

Foodexia was born from our passion for good food, authentic ingredients and the Mediterranean way of life.

For us, food is about more than what is on the plate. It is about origin, quality and tradition, but also about gathering around the table and the pleasure of sharing a good meal.

That is why we look for products that offer something more – products with a clear origin, carefully selected ingredients and people behind them who genuinely care about what they produce.

What Does Foodexia Mean?

The name Foodexia combines the English word Food with inspiration from the Greek suffix -exia (-εξία), which is associated with a state or sense of well-being.

For us, Foodexia has therefore come to represent something simple:

Well-being through good food.

This is also the idea behind our expression Mediterranean Wellness – inspired by Mediterranean food culture, its ingredients and its way of enjoying both food and life.

Experience Since 2011

Since 2011, we have worked with the import and sale of Mediterranean food products, with a particular focus on Greece.

Over the years, we have supplied private customers, restaurants and retailers throughout Sweden while building long-term relationships with producers and family-owned businesses.

Many of our suppliers have worked with their ingredients and products for generations. Behind the products are people, farms and families with extensive knowledge of their craft and a deep respect for tradition.

How We Select Our Products

We do not want a large selection simply for the sake of having one. We prefer to choose products that we genuinely believe in.

Taste, quality, origin and production methods are all important factors when deciding what earns a place in the Foodexia range.

Olive oil holds a special place for us. When selecting an olive oil, we look at factors such as its region of origin, olive variety, harvest, production method and acidity. When laboratory analyses are available, we also present relevant quality data, such as polyphenol content.

In this way, we want to give you more information about a product than what you can simply read on the front of its packaging.

Through Foodexia.se, you can easily order our products online. We pack and ship orders to private customers throughout Sweden.

Our aim is to make authentic Mediterranean products accessible even to those who do not have a specialist food store nearby.

We also work with retailers, restaurants, cafés and other businesses looking for Mediterranean products for resale or professional use.
